I went fishing last night on the Allegheny river with some buddies and we caught three huge flathead catfish. The biggest one was caught by Ryan Gebfert and weighed in at 29.5 pounds and the next biggest one weighed in at 13 pounds and was caught by Nate Mcknight. Earlier in the day we had caught some creek chubs and blue gills and were fishing with them live off the bottom underneath a spill way with a carolina rig. A couple weeks ago one of our friends caught a 40 pounder in this same spot.

Well today is opening day for use here in the great state of Ohio. Me and the boys are headed out to try our luck at some Dove and Squirrel. With any luck we should have some new pics to post this evening. Not to mention that the count down is on till the archery season opens and my blood brothers and I head out to find us some back straps for the B-B-Q. I can smell it cooken in the air already 26 days. Get-er-done.

I went fishing a few weeks ago on Lake Arthur about an hour north of Pittsburgh for two days. We did great catching 22 fish between my buddy Ryan and I. Most were large mouth bass but we also caught a large catfish, a carp, a perch, and a bluegill. We were using topwater lures, rapalas, and swimbaits. I caught this largemouth and this catfish on a firetiger suspending rapala. Topwater bass fishing is fast becoming one of my favorite ways to fish. We have gone night fishing a couple times lately and have caught some really nice bass on the surface. It is so exiting to see them explode out
