Well its been to long since I wrote on this blog. The 2014 season is off to a fast pace this year. I have taken three deer already two doe with my bow and a little button buck with my muzzle loader during the early antlerless only muzzle loader hunt. Haven't heard much from the other boys. I know they headed back to Idaho this year without success again for them on harvesting a big bull. Hope to find a buck this Saturday and then get back to some small game hunting and bird hunting.

First day of bow season !!!!!!!!!!!

So the boys could not make it happen in Idaho. Im hoping that here in ohio on sat the 29th I may go a head on the leader board by putting a big ohio buck down.Of course with the video off the trail cams I have no doubt that this season will be interesting. Not to mention that the wife will be joining the boys in the woods this year and its possible she will out do us all.

If there were Deer like this in my neighborhood I would for sure shoot it. Even at the risk of going to jail or paying a large fine. lol

Went to the deer and turkey expo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well this is not really news go to the expo every year. Two years ago I was lucky enough to win a new horton crossbow. This year I entered a bunch of raffles. Tonight I got home and had recieved a message that I had won something at the deer and turkey expo. So I gave them a call right back and had won a phesant hunting trip here in Ohio for me and two guest. We have a 50 bird max and they supply a dog and guide. Can't wait between this and the man trip what a fall this won is going to be.

Getting ready for Idaho elk and bear hunt hope you all are too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went for a little 2 mile hike today with the family we stumbled upon a heard of buffalo. One of our metro parks has them roaming free at this time. I hope that all the hiking that I plan to do this spring and summer will pay off for the big elk and bear hunt. I can't wait to get with all the guys and get into the wild. It's all I think about these days you can ask my wife.
